Private Vs. Group Fitness Coaching – Which is the Right Fit for Me?

Everyone has different fitness goals, different challenges, and different body types. These differences mean online coaching must be as individual as you are. Coaches need to provide the support and motivation to keep you engaged while creating unique programs to address your needs.

There are a couple ways you can approach fitness coaching online. One is a private program, and the second involves working with a group.

Which one is the right fit for you?

First, let’s look at what you get with each option, and then we can determine your best choice.

Private Nutrition and Fitness Coaching

When you sign up for our private fitness coaching, you receive a nutrition plan including your exact macro breakdown, a list of frequently used ingredients, and coaching on how you can eat out and still work toward your goals.

You also receive customized workout routines tailored to your specific needs. Every element of your workout is carefully and fully explained by your coach, and they continue to adjust and update your routine as your fitness improves.

Your fitness coach provides the accountability, structure, and motivation many people need to consistently stick to their routine. This includes providing support like weekly check-in calls and daily motivational texts.

Our private coaching system is fully online, and it works like this:

  1. We have a consultation to discover your lifestyle preferences, what you find the most challenging about fitness, and what goals you want to reach with your coach.
  2. Your online fitness coach creates a custom plan for you, based on these discussions.
  3. You, of course, have final approval on this plan. We want to make sure it fits your needs and is easy to follow.
  4. Your coach continues to update your plan based on the regular check-ins.

Group Fitness Coaching Programs

In a group fitness program, you still get many of the same benefits as our private coaching, but there are a couple differences.

You still receive a fully customized program, and our coaches are available to answer any of your questions. In fact, it works pretty much the same as we discussed above so the process looks like this:

  1. Share your challenges and goals.
  2. Get custom workout routines every month.
  3. Get access to our macro calculator.
  4. Speak with a fitness coach to get answers to your questions.
  5. Get support and motivation from a group of people who share similar goals.

Which Benefits You More?

Everyone is different, which is why it’s critical to know which approach to online coaching is more beneficial to you.

We can break down the differences like this:

Private coaching is more beneficial to those who need extra motivation, accountability, and support. Regardless of any limitations or challenges you have, your coach creates a fully customized routine for you to follow. It’s perfect for those who need extra assistance and want to invest in themselves.

Group coaching on the other hand, is great for those who are more independent, but lack the knowledge of what to do. The biggest difference is instead of working 1-on-1 with a coach, you are in a group setting with other members. You still receive customized routines every month, can ask questions in the group, and have support from the community. This option is also a cheaper alternative, and you still get access to professional coaches.

Before you get started with any fitness program, consider these options carefully and get started with the program that will meet your specific needs.
