Fitness is a Lifestyle and a Journey that takes many roads. I first started my Fitness journey as a young athlete playing many different sports. Swimming and baseball were the two sports that I excelled most at. I was never the most athletic but I knew if I outworked the people around me I would succeed. While in Highschool I played Varsity Baseball for 4 years and became an All-American Swimmer . Through out college I worked out to improve my strength and performance. Once I graduated college I needed to get a job immediately to pay for the student loans that were coming in. I took a job in sales and left all those values of discipline and hard work behind. With in a year I went from being in the best shape of my life to the worst shape of my life. My Sr Year I weighed 198lbs and had a body fat percentage of 9%. A year later I weighed 275lbs and had a body fat percentage of 31%. Throughout this year my confidence went down, my health deteriorated and I became extremely depressed. I went to my doctor and he prescribed me an antidepressant. I thought this would help. With in 2 days of being on the medication I knew this would not fix me. I was not depressed anymore but felt no emotions. I did not care about anything. That same day while meeting with a client I had to walk up a flight or stairs. I had to stop 3 times just to catch my breath. This was rock bottom. At that very moment I knew I had to turn my life around and get back to those core values. In college I took a bunch of courses in exercise science even though this was not my major. I remember being fascinated and intrigued. I decided I needed to learn more to fix myself. I enrolled in a Certified Personal Training course and soaked up as much knowledge as I could. I used that knowledge to treat myself. I was my first client. While getting certified I began to implement all the knowledge of fitness and nutrition to my daily routine. In a year a was able to get back to my ideal weight and body fat percentage. More importantly my confidence, energy, motivation and drive were back. I decided at that point I wanted to take a leap of faith and become a full time Personal Trainer. Since that time I have been a Head Trainer, Fitness Director, General Manager and Wellness Coach. I have had the privilege of working with and coaching 1000's of people to there goals and beyond. These clients have ranged from people with disabilities to the highest level athletes and everyone in between. Every individual is different and needs to have customized work outs geared towards them. I love what I do and hope to be able to help as many people as I can for as long as I can.
