My fitness journey started 8 years ago when I was a cheerleader in high school. I was overweight and very self-conscious. My sisters were also in high school, and we were always being compared to one another. As a cheerleader, I had to go to strength and conditioning classes most mornings before school. I started to enjoy these classes more than I did cheerleading. I didn’t try out the next semester, but I got a gym membership instead. I started going every day, following the personal trainer around like a puppy dog, and ended up losing 25 pounds and felt the best I have ever felt, physically and mentally which is why I went to Ball State University and graduated with an Exercise Science degree. During my time there I did additional coursework such as nutrition courses, personal training courses, and rehabilitation exercises. Throughout my fitness journey, my whole mindset has changed If I am not in the gym, I am outside hiking, being with family, or singing. Seeing my clients reaching their goals and living their best lives is what motivates me every day and to continue to learn how to be the best trainer for my clients.
