A little bit about myself: I was born in Boston, MA and spent most of my childhood there. I have since moved quite a few times but never outside of the state. I currently live in Milford, MA where I have been since 2003. I am currently big into health and fitness, but that wasn’t always the case. As a young child I was very active. Then a very painful time of extreme growth (I grew 8” over one summer) turned me off from being physically active. This caused me to gain a lot of weight. Fast forward a few years. A member of my family told me that I was getting heavy and should do something about it. This spurred me into my 18 month weight loss journey where I lost a total of 70lbs. The only problem was, even though I lost the weight, I didn’t do it in a good way. I went from being heavy and out of shape to skinny and out of shape. And because I was out of shape, I ended up hurting my back pretty badly. Fast forward a couple years to my sophomore year at Umass, Amherst and my discovery of exercise science. Spring semester of that year I took Nutrition for Exercise and Sport taught by the late Dr. Priscilla Clarkson. I changed my major and never looked back. After college I got a job as an in-person trainer where my ability to help people relieve their back pain became quickly well known. I did this for about 19 years until covid hit and I had to take my love of coaching online. Also during lookdown I completed my nutrition coaching certification from Precision Nutrition to go with my personal trainer certification from A.C.E. As I mentioned previously I am BIG into health, fitness and nutrition. When I am not helping my clients reach their health and fitness goals, I am studying up on the latest research. I do this because not only do I find it fascinating but I want to make sure that the info I use is up to date to help my clients reach their goals as fast and effectively as possible. With over 24 years in the fitness industry, it’s my passion to help you reach your goals. Whatever stage you are at in your health and wellness journey, know that you’re in good hands. My goal for you is to make healthy living an EASY part of your life. To take the “stress” out of it and FINALLY feel and see results, without feeling restricted. I don’t want you to see this as another diet and exercise plan, rather, I want this to be your new lifestyle.
